Vegetables should be included in our diet. A garden salad mostly comprises of fresh vegetables. In Jamaica this is called vegetable salad. This is the southern way in the United State to prepare this salad.
Ingredients
1 large clove garlic (halved)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
6 lettuce leaves (washed)
4 tomatoes (halved)
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Method
Use the cut side of the garlic to rub the inside of the salad bowl then discard the garlic. Add the vegetable oil, lemon juice, salt and lemon-pepper seasoning to the bowl, stir well. Add the lettuce leaves and tomatoes; toss gently. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese.
